DEWALT announced the expansion of its existing range of cordless woodworking and carpentry power tools with its first 20V MAX* XR® 3x21 in. Cordless Belt Sander (DCW220B).
The Belt Sander features up to 22% more power vs. PorterCable® 352VS corded belt sander**, and delivers more sanding surface area***, ideal for rapid material removal.
The variable speed trigger with lock on and speed selection dial provide ultimate speed and application control with 25 speed increments. With the quick-release belt change, sandpaper can be easily changed while the over-molded auxiliary handle allows for two-handed operation and grip for scribing. The 3x21 in. platen enables large surface area sanding, and a brushless motor delivers runtime and efficiency.
The dust collection feature with an adapter for the tool-free dust chute is compatible with DEWALT's Airlock™ system or a standard 35 mm dust extractor (sold separately) to minimize dust during sanding. Wireless Tool Control™ allows for ease of use when paired with compatible DEWALT vacuum or dust extractor (sold separately).
The belt sander will be available as a bare unit beginning in March where DEWALT products are sold.
*Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts. Nominal voltage is 18 volts.
**using DCB609 battery (sold separately), based on maximum watts out.
