SVC Workshop: Advanced Plasma Diagnostics for Surface Engineering and Film Deposition

The workshop will be held from October 5 – 8, 2026. The city of Golden, Colorado was selected as the workshop venue for its status as an iconic city of the American West nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and within easy reach of the USA’s top winter resorts during peak mountain snow season.
The organizing committee has secured eleven (11) Keynote presentations by global leaders and innovators in plasma diagnostics, surface engineering, and materials synthesis/characterization. Attendees are encouraged to submit poster presentations to be shared with all workshop participants and are invited to participate in the complimentary tutorial “Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES): Opportunities and Limitations.” In addition, three complimentary offsite events are included: tours of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Colorado School of Mines, and the Coors Brewery.
