Summary:The Aerospace Production Manager will oversee and coordinate the activities of all aerospace plating production workers. These responsibilities will include but is not limited to providing technical support to the production team, meet production demand deadlines, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions to improve aerospace plating performance.

Minimum Qualifications:
Relevant degree/certificate from a college or technical school; or 3-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of plating processes, materials, and equipment
3+ years supervisory/managerial experience required
Must be flexible with work schedule.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Essential Duties:
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hours requirements for completion of job assignment
Create a weekly production schedule for each plating line and review with operators and staff.
Communicate with customers, as needed, supplying updates on part status while maintaining critical turnaround times.
Develop or implement production tracking or in-process quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports to detect production problems, as needed.
Provide technical support to the production team for metal plating-related issues.
Identifies training needs and provides coaching and/or aids in coordination of training.
Implement and enforce all environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Enforce proper chemical handling procedures established by the company in accordance with various federal and state agencies.
Interprets specifications and work order to workers and effectively delegates/assigns duties.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, efficiency reports, Corrective Action Requests and daily observation.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Monitors the condition of equipment and recommends repairs or replacement as necessary.
Ensures quality standards set by company and customers are met or exceeded.
Informs and trains operators of company expectations.
Suggests changes in working conductions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Establish metrics and follow KPI's to measure the success of the continuous improvement initiatives and report progress to the VP of Operations.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance to our Quality systems and documents all improved methods.
Defines roles and responsibilities for employees, authority, and accountability for individuals’ actions and sets measurable goals, review performance, and provide feedback.
