Gemu North America invites experienced professionals to apply for the role of Surface Finishing Supervisor. The individual will be entrusted with the pivotal responsibility of facilitating seamless operations between the Polishing and Electro Polishing departments, ensuring the proficient utilization of resources, equipment, and the orchestration of daily polishing activities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Orchestrating and scheduling polishing orders to ensure timely and quality output.
  • Formulating and determining optimal procedures for the meticulous polishing of parts.
  • Managing Electropolishing chemicals assiduously, safeguarding both safety and production standards.
  • Assisting in the strategic planning of production and vigilantly monitoring workflow and quality.
  • Supervising and ensuring the proper maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Innovating and implementing new techniques and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communicating effectively with a team of up to 15, ensuring clear transmission of production needs, schedules, and potential issues.
 Work Schedule:
  •  The role may demand flexibility with some early morning, evening, and weekend work as dictated by operational requirements.
 Essential Knowledge/Skills:
  • Adeptness in basic computer skills is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending work instructions in English.
  • Capability to communicate successfully with a diverse team.
  Qualifications:
  • 5 plus years of experience in a similar role – metal, chrome, automotive, aviation, frame polishing or finishing.
  • 2 plus years of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Industrial, mechanical, electrical academic training or 5 years of hands-on experience
