Job OverviewTitle: Sales AssociateReports to: Business Development ManagerLocation: Kent, WASchedule: 1st Shift Monday through FridayType: Full Time, Exempt (salary) Job SummaryThe role is the perfect fit for someone with a background in aerospace processing that is looking to pivot into sales. In the position, you will train under two veteran sales leaders in how to quote and grow sales for Hytek. The position will work closely with customer service, production, billing, and will serve as the first impression for customers looking for finishing.  Responsibilities
  • Reaches out to customers to prospect for additional work.
  • Thinks strategically about where to focus time to generate the most volume of profitable sales.
  • Reads and interprets customer drawings and specifications to quote services competitively.
  • Produces quotations to customers for all offered processes in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes sales history to understand trends; uses information to further drive sales and value-based pricing.
  • Manages pricing/billing for outgoing invoices in a timely manner.
  • Uses extensive knowledge of the company and its financial objectives in evaluating incoming requests for quote (RFQ’s).
  • Gathers and analyzes data to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent.
  • Uses problem solving skills to ensure a stable operation.
  • Continual review of estimating practices and procedures to support customer need and company growth.
  • Understanding of ITAR compliance and proper handling of ITAR related documents.
  • Other related duties as needed or assigned.
 Qualifications
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, ability to multitask, and can effectively interact with customers (both internally and externally).
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with demanding customers.
  • Creative problem solving and strategic thinking skill.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements.
  • Has the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand aerospace engineering documents (drawings, specifications, etc.).
  • Strong computer skills using MS Office products as well as ERP system experience is desired, Syteline experience preferred.
  • Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
  • Read/Write/Communicate in English.
  • Must be able authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility.  (No F1, OPT, or Visa Sponsorships at this time.)
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
 Education/Previous Experience Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in related field of study or equivalent experience, equivalent of years in experience plus highest level of education.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Finishing Production. Would consider internships as previous experience.
  • Leadership training is a plus.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis. Sitting for long periods of time. Walking throughout the facility. Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
