Our shop is still having trouble with controlling the thickness of the powder on the parts we are coating. Obviously we are seeing orange peel. But we also get heavy coating in some area. Any one has ideas on what we should check?

Theres a lot of variables that you need to be checking on. How far the gun-to-target distance is the first, then the voltage and micro-amps settings is another. You should have your equipment people check your flow rate and powder velocity. We always check our number of strokes and dwell time in front of the gun. Start checking one by one under you see some improvements.
