World-renown anodizing subject matter expert Anne Deacon Juhl, Ph.D., is hosting a free webinar about hard anodizing on January 26.
Dr. Juhl, who runs the Anodizing School, says the webinar will cover what hard anodizing is, the properties and specifications of hard anodizing, and how to handle defects and other problems arising in hard anodizing.
Those interested in the webinar should email info@anodizingschool.com with the subject line “I want to learn about hard anodizing.” The webinar will be given via Zoom, and those signing up for Anodizing School will receive the link on the day of the webinar. Dr. Juhl says if the time does not suit you, the webinar can watch the recording later at https://www.anodizingschool.com/
Dr. Juhl has worked in the anodizing industry for more than 25 years. Her anodizing journey started when she wrote my Ph.D. thesis as a research scientist at the Technical University of Denmark about "Pulse Anodizing of Extruded and Cast Aluminum Alloys".
After finishing her Ph.D., Dr. Juhl worked with anodizing both as an independent consultant and as a supervisor and quality manager in anodizing companies. She has great experience with different kinds of chemical and electrochemical surface treatments, such as chromating, electroplating, electroless plating and anodizing, including Type I, II, and III.
“What I am most passionate about is the sustainable aspect of aluminum anodizing,” Dr. Juhl says. “I strongly believe anodizing is the most efficient and sustainable solution for anodizing aluminum. This conviction has also led to my decision to create www.AnodizingSchool.com where I seek to enhance knowledge about anodizing in the world.”
