Wisconsin’s Professional Plating Plans $9.5 Million in New Equipment Lines

Professional Plating in Brillion, Wisconsin, is spending over $9.5 million on two new finishing lines.

Larry DietzLarry DietzThe company will invest over $4 million in a new zinc barrel line that will be online by the end of 2023. It will be the second zinc barrel line that will be operational in their facility. 

Professional Plating is also spending $5.3 million on a new epoxy electrocoat line to replace its present equipment. That equipment is planned to be operational in July 2024.

“We will continue to run our existing epoxy ecoat machine through the equipment fabrication and installation phases to meet our customer needs,” says Larry Dietz, Professional Plating General Manager.

Dietz says the new ecoat line will be larger and have additional features, options, and added capacity over their current machine.

“The new line will also have additional automation with improved water controls, oil skimming, and automated chemical feeds,” he says.

Professional Plating just spent $4.3 million on a new zinc plating line that was christened in 2022. They also had line expansions in 2016 and again in 2018. Over the past decade, Professional Plating’s owners have invested nearly $20 million in adding lines, upgrading facilities for its team members, and investing in technology and software.
