I there any value-added to applying a chromate conversion coating to both sides of an aluminum plate that will then have one of the sides powder-coated while the other side is left bare (except for the chem-film coating)? Should the powder coating be done prior to applying chromate-conversion coating to the bare side of the aluminum (after being masked off)?
