Creative Liquid Coatings Undergoing $9M Expansion in Ohio

Creative Liquid Coatings in Montpelier, Ohio, announced a $9 million expansion project.

Stephen GeistStephen GeistCreative Liquid Coatings provides plastic-engineered injection-molded parts and paint finishing for the heavy truck industry. Its primary customers include Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, Mack, International, and Freightliner.

The project will create about 50 new positions at the company. The company employs about 280.

According to JobsOhio, the state agency that helps companies relocate and expand, Creative Liquid Coatings needed to expand to support current and new business awards from its customers with expectations to attract new business.

“New construction will add 94,000 square feet to the existing building,” JobsOhio says. “Additional injection molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, paint line upgrades, and assembly equipment will be purchased to support the company’s growth.”

“We have multiple customers in Ohio and Michigan, so this location was very strategic for us,” says Stephen Geist, President of Creative Liquid Coatings. “Our customers continuously work to reduce their inbound logistics costs, so keeping production near their locations is critical.”

The company has eight facilities in Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Texas, and Ohio.

JobsOhio, the Ohio Department of Development, the Regional Growth Partnership, and the Williams County Economic Development Corporation helped with the project.
