What we are working on for 2023:
Fiona Levin SmithWe have so many exciting products ready now for 2023. We have zinc-rich and zinc-free primers for sharp edges and perforated panels for an improved coated surface. Our Electrostatic Dissipative Coatings also just became even more colorful, with ESD coatings in the range of 104-106 ohms in light colors and almost all the RAL colors. Powder coating wood and MDF will also continue to be big, and we have some even smoother PureClad topcoats ready to go. There are also some fantastic new color collections from our Polychem Powder division that will launch early in the year. On the architectural side, we’re excited for our Health Product Declarations to be ready to go.

There was a huge buzz around our PureClad products at IWF 2022 in Atlanta. Our Pureclad primers were extremely well received by many companies looking to make the switch to a more sustainable, single-coat option with efficient operating parameters for improved output. The primers offer superior protection and moisture resistance and can accept a liquid or powder topcoat. Puroplaz PE21, one of our incredible thermoplastic powders, was launched in 2022 and has already made an impact with customers looking for improved impact protection and weathering. Our Polychem customers told us they loved being able to get custom satin colors.
What customers are telling us about 2023:
“Expanded Possibility” is one of the themes of our 2023 color trends, and that seems to be the case with our customers. There still be some uncertainty over what the economy may do, but we know how creative and innovative our industry and our customers are, especially in tough times. What that leads to is most definitely opportunity.
