What we are working on for 2023:

Steelhead customers (finishing job shops) have frequently described pain from extremely difficult and inefficient scheduling, as well as revenue left on the table by not offering expedite services.

In 2023 Steelhead will take Capacity Planning and Scheduling to the next level in Metal Finishing. Fully predictive AI scheduling will model production before it happens, eliminating time spent generating schedules, providing reliable lead times, improving production efficiency, and unlocking the expedite services business model.

Steelhead had a monster year in 2022, including raising investment, hiring a world class team, building an incredible platform, and serving dozens of customers. With the goals of boosting profit and saving time, features like Automated Quoting, Reporting, and Margins add transformational value for shops. Features like Workboards, with operator instruction improve quality and improve training time, by focusing the software to serve those on the plant floor, not just the front office. Steelhead’s scheduling tools have replaced complex excel sheets and whiteboards, and customer notifications have saved countless phone calls and emails.

Above all, the single biggest hit in 2022 is Automated Profit Margin Tracking. Sales teams and business leaders can guide their companies away from work that is not profitable, and to make commercial and operational adjustments to maximize profitability.
