Hendor Launches New Magnetic Drive with High Reliability and Lower Carbon Footprint

Hendor expands its sustainable product line with a new range of magnetic drive pumps.

This builds on the company’s strategy to help both machine builders and end users in the surface finishing industry become more green.

The new Hendor MXH series is the third generation of magnetic pumps of its own design, successor to the M series and the MX series. This series is calibrated for optimal flow and long service life, with the lowest possible carbon footprint in use. Through smart technology, the pumps have high hydraulic efficiency, low energy consumption and up to 15% more flow. Or, the same flow with a smaller electric motor.

Innovativeness in the design of the next generation magnetic pumps is reflected in the bearings with flushing channels, the full radial spiral design of the pump housing and pump impeller housing, and instream stabilization in the heaviest variant electric motors for even greater efficiency. The MXH series includes ten pumps available in PP or PVDF with power ratings from 0.55kW to 4.0kW. For fire safety applications, a variant is available in FM4910 registered materials.

User-friendliness of the magnetic drive pumps is noticeable by a very low noise level; only 72 dBa at the Best Efficiency Point. In addition, the pump’s bearing design is rotation direction insensitive, and the pump head can be rotated 45 degrees. This makes installation easier and faster without additional work on piping. In addition, each pump includes a three-piece +GF+ connection for a leak-free connection to piping.

When developing this series, Hendor paid equal attention to making its own production line more sustainable. The magnetic pumps are manufactured entirely in-house by technical experts. All pump parts are machined for optimal tolerances, fit and interchangeability. In doing so, the company guarantees the highest quality standards and the use of the best raw materials. Due to the new design, Hendor reduces material- and energy consumption, waste and transportation. For example, waste pans are saved 65% when manufacturing the pump housing.

The customer becomes greener directly from the moment of installation. The robustness of the new magnetic drive pumps ensures high reliability, easy repairability and therefore a long service life. Combined with increased efficiency and energy savings, this automatically lowers the end user’s carbon footprint.

Hendor is committed to the future of our planet. Through its going green strategy, we help the surface finishing industry become more green by creating awareness and developing chemical pumps and filters with the lowest possible carbon footprint. The first result of this mission are the Hendor Excellence filters for reduced energy, resource and filter media consumption. The new magnetic pump series follows this up and serves as the basis for more product innovations in the future.
