In addition, the TRISTAR 300 Process had been previously approved by Stellantis Italy to PS.50045 Color Code CM-618.

Stellantis N.V. is a Dutch-domiciled multinational automotive manufacturing corporation, formed in 2021 on the basis of a 50-50 cross-border merger between the Italian-American conglomerate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the French PSA Group. It’s brands include Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Ram, and Vauxhall

Stellantis logo and brands 750x452TRISTAR 300 Process is an important advancement in the technology of high performance addition agent systems for trivalent chrome plating. A noteworthy feature of the process is its ability to provide remarkably uniform performance over a wide range of current densities and operating conditions in an economical manner. It is able to provide this because the components that comprise the process are effective over a broader range of concentrations than competitive processes.

A second benefit is that purification treatment methods have been developed for the TRISTAR 300 Process, which provide for rapid removal of copper, zinc, iron, and nickel, the metallic impurities that most seriously affect deposit color and low current density covering power. Consequently, maintaining a uniform deposit appearance that closely resembles hexavalent chrome coatings is relatively easy and economical.

This process offers outstanding deposit coverage, even in very low current density areas. It also offers outstanding tolerance to current interruption and intermittent contact during the chrome plating portion of the finishing cycle. The additives needed to operate the TRISTAR 300 Process are simple to monitor and control, and provide excellent stability under all reasonable operating conditions. Despite its outstanding performance, the TRISTAR 300 Process is cost-effective to use. Thus, the TRISTAR 300 Process is ideal where high performance is needed, and where high productivity is essential
