Richard Lynch is out, and Graeme Dickinson is in at MacDermid Enthone.
Richard LynchThe Waterbury, Connecticut, specialty chemical company replaced Lynch—its Global Vice President since 2020 and employee since 2011—with Dickinson, the former SVP at MacDermid Graphics Solutions.
There was no reason given on why Lynch left the company, which has over 1,900 employees in 30 countries and 10 research and development sites.
“We are thrilled to have Graeme at the helm of MacDermid Enthone,” Ben Gliklich, President and CEO of parent Element Solutions, said in a prepared release. “He has a proven ability to deliver value through thoughtful, customer-oriented innovation and supply chain productivity programs that are in alignment with our company’s core values. We are confident that MacDermid Enthone will continue to advance its leadership position in the surface finishing industry under his watch.”

Earlier this year, Element Solutions announced it had finalized the sale of MacDermid Graphics Solutions, which Dickinson has led since 2023. In announcing Dickinson in replacing Lynch, MacDermid Enthone said in a statement that he “brings over two decades of experience across a broad set of industry verticals, having spent a substantial portion of his career in specialty materials product management, manufacturing, and new product development.”
Before joining MacDermid Graphics Solutions, Dickinson was Vice President at Fluke Corporation, which manufactured and distributed electronic test tools and software. Before his 5-year stint at Fluke, he was Chief Operating Officer and Acting President at Lumiant, which developed metallic ceramic composites.
Dickinson also held positions at Honeywell and Praxair. He has a Master’s degree in materials science and engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Arizona State University.
MacDermid Enthone says Dickinson will be responsible for “driving its strategy, expanding its market penetration, and enhancing its industry-leading technologies and service for our international customers, partners, and stakeholders.”
'Honored to Step into the Role'
Dickinson says he is “honored to step into the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager” and looks forward to working with their team to drive growth.
“Looking ahead, I am committed to building on our strong legacy of developing industry-leading surface finishing solutions, supported by technical expertise and unmatched customer support,” he says.
A prior news release about Lynch’s appointment as vice president noted he “has been an active leader in the metal finishing industry for more than 30 years. He began his career in manufacturing before moving into technical service and sales. Rich has held several senior management positions in supply chain, sales, marketing and regional management. Rich currently serves on the Board of Directors for the NASF and is also a member of its Government Advisory Committee.”
