Eric Turner is Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Quality Assurance at Houston Plating & Coating. While completing his degree at the University of Houston, he began working part-time at HPC in 2001 as a forklift operator.
After completing the company’s training program, Turner earned his certification as a Level 3 NACE Certified Coating Inspector, resulting in his promotion to Quality Manager. In 2014, he was promoted to vice president and in 2016 he named COO.
How did you get your start in the finishing industry? I was working as a delivery driver for a party rental company and was dropping off some things for a party at Houston Plating & Coatings and asked for an application.
What do you enjoy best about the industry? The challenge of meeting customer demands while maintaining compliance to standards and quality objectives.
If money was no object, what would you do all day? Hang out with my family and go bass fishing.
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to? 1997, Amazon stock was only $1.73.
How would your friends describe you? A hard-working family man.
What are your hobbies? Bass fishing.
What is the best gift you have been given? My wife and kids.
Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without? Going outside.

If you were a super-hero, what powers would you have? Invisibility and having no need to sleep.
