Deimco Finishing Equipment, a designer and builder of custom finishing and material handling systems, announces the hiring of Shivtej Utekar and Ryan Hass.
The positions were created to support the continued growth of Deimco Finishing Equipment.
“We are excited to welcome Shivtej and Ryan to our team," says Kirk Shirar, President and Co-Owner of Deimco. "They will be a great resource for Deimco and our customers.”
Utekar obtained his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Wichita State University in May of 2020. During his time at university, he excelled academically and completed an internship with Speed Automation. As Automation Engineer, Utekar will be responsible for the design and implementation of custom controls for Deimco’s system solutions.
Hass joins Deimco after graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Studies from Iowa State University in May of 2020. During his time at Iowa State, he possessed roles including fabrication, mechanical and electrical duties at B&G HVAC, Van Wall Equipment, and Reisetter Electric. As Senior Technician, Hass will be responsible for the design and implementation of the electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls of Deimco’s automated systems.
“We’re excited to add such high character people and high caliber talent to our team,” says Tom Arneson, VP and General Manger. “We believe this is the correct time—and Shivtej and Ryan are the correct people—to make these notable investments as we execute our strategy to be the first choice finishing and material handling solutions provider.”
Additionally, Deimco announced a 10,800 square feet addition to its current facility in Tama. The new expansion will allow Deimco to pre-assemble and test operate multiple systems concurrently on its floor. This ensures customers have the opportunity to confirm the equipment they purchase will meet their requirements. The addition is underway and will likely be completed early second quarter of 2021.
"The Lord has continued to bless Deimco Finishing Equipment," says Cindy Shirar, CFO and Co-Owner of Deimco. "We are forever appreciative to the City of Tama, Tama County Economic Development, and the community for welcoming us and for making Tama a wonderful place to do business. We look forward to being part of the community for many years."
