Lugging heavy parts around coating operations can be time-consuming and often painful for the employees who have to do it.
That’s why Total Finishing Solutions has come up with some ingenious ways for facilities to move pproductsthrough their coating shop, as well as how to automate the preparation of the products by stacking.
Ty Crowder, President of Total Finishing Solutions, spoke with www.FinishingAndCoating.com in a new TechTalk segment that illustrated the features of these new products.
The power carts are 12-volt battery-operated, self-propelled carts that move products around a facility.
“They’re class one, div one, so they can go inside of a spray booth,” Crowder says. “Our standard cart can hold about 500 pounds. We do make a version that can hold up to 1,500 pounds as well.”
Total Finishing Solutions also offers a new automated stacking and racking system that Crowder says provides ultimate flexibility in loading a flat line type system can be a roll coat, UV flat line, or a reciprocating spray curtain coat.
“It’s for anything that you are putting parts in a flat belt type conveyor,” he says. “This would allow you to roll in with a forklift and drop off your pallet of parts. It’s for any kind of part that’s going to go down a conveyor belt.”
