Steelhead Technologies says it deployed its enterprise resource planning system in just 36 hours at A1 Paint, Powder, and Sandblasting in Kansas City.
The project started on November 2 and was completed on November 3 as Steelhead's manufacturing job shop software was installed.
A1 Paint, Powder, and Sandblasting now have a comprehensive inventory audit to capture real data and enhance traceability in their operations.
Frank Laster, President at A1 Paint, Powder, and Sandblasting, says its team received training at around 9:15 a.m. on the second day and demonstrated enthusiasm for the transition.
"With 9 hours left in this 36-hour deployment, we are already training our staff to leave our old system behind and start anew with Steelhead," Laster says. "The opportunity to work through specific processes has been very enriching. The fact that we get to collaborate with the developers and build something tailored to help us improve our company far outweighs any blueprint solution."
