Talica has acquired AeroDynamics Metal Finishing in Seabrook, New Hampshire.
AeroDynamics is a Nadcap-accredited company that provides surface treatments for the aerospace, defense, medical device, and other high-performance and technically demanding industrial applications. The company offers anodizing, chemfilm, passivation, electropolishing, and specialized coatings. It operates under an AS9100-certified quality management system.
Talica was formed in March by JLL Partners, which it says is a middle-market private equity firm that is “a new national platform delivering specialized surface science technology services to facilities, manufacturers, and prime contractors in highly regulated industries.”
Paul Belliveau, Chief Executive Officer of Talica, says the company brings together specialized operating companies with deep expertise in advanced surface treatments, precision cleaning, passivation, and a broad range of high-purity services. Talica’s teams will provide cleaning, surface treatment, fabrication, and repair services supporting customers operating in performance-critical environments.
Kenn BevinsKenn Bevins, Chief Operating Officer of Talica, says the acquisition of AeroDynamics expands its reach into aerospace and defense markets, complementing its existing high-purity and industrial service offerings.
“AeroDynamics adds a critical dimension to Talica,” Bevins says. “Their expertise in aerospace finishing and commitment to quality align with our focus on mission-critical applications.”
AeroDynamics Metal Finishing was founded in 1989 and operates in a 40,000-square-foot finishing operation. Cara Burzynski is the president of Aerodynamics, and her husband, Gregg, is the chief executive officer.
Belliveau says the vision for Talica is to be a national leader in surface science technology.
“Surface performance matters more than ever to our customers,” he says. “By bringing together great companies and talented teams, and by investing in technology and expertise, we’re building a platform that raises the bar for what customers should expect from a surface science partner.”
