Tim Brinner from IFS Coatings talks with us about Puroplaz PE16 powder coating.

Puroplaz PE16 is a tough thermoplastic-modified polyolefin powder coating that Brinner says delivers the unique combination of incredible hardness and excellent flexibility, along with very high adhesion properties.

“This PE16 formula has a rare combination of hardness and flexibility,” Brinner says. “These attributes are normally codependent with a trade-off in one for gains in the other.”

But the new formulation of Puroplaz PE16 overcomes these tradeoffs, Brinner says, which makes it ideal for products that will be post-formed after coating, such as fence wire weaving, that also require excellent abrasion resistance.

“It can replace nylon coatings in certain applications,” he says.

Technical excellence is key in this exciting formulation, and Puroplaz PE16 delivers a Shore D Hardness of 60, extremely high gravelometer performance, and outstanding impact and abrasion resistance.
