Parth Moradia from Kroma Coating Technology talks with us about epoxy powder coatings and the benefits to using them in certain circumstances.
Kroma’s epoxy powder coatings is a thermoset polymer coating which has unyielding toughness and provides a protective coating with high chemical resistance, tight adhesion, and excellent resistance to fuels and lube oils.
“Epoxy powder coatings are mainly used for indoor applications and applications where they require really high corrosive resistance or really high chemical resistance,” Moradia says. “Some applications where we have customers that use epoxy powder coatings are used in where the parts come in contact with gear lube, oils, or fuels. Some caustic or corrosive cleaners can harm polyester powder coatings, and epoxy is a good alternative for those.”
Moradia says Kroma’s poxy powder coatings are magnificent as a protective layer.
“Epoxy is an extreme and multi-purpose material consisting of the cross-connecting of an epoxy resin and hardener or co-reactant,” he says. “They have excellent coating properties and are available in a wide range of brilliance, colors, and finishes.”
Kroma Coatings Technology is among one of the largest, high-quality powder coating manufacturers in Ohio and serves all over The United States. They specialize in manufacturing all forms of powder coatings including: Polyester TGIC and TGIC-free, Polyester Super Durable, Epoxy coats, Epoxy/Polyester Hybrid powder coating and many more.
