Minnesota-based Incertec has acquired Synergy Metal Finishing in Titusville, Florida.
Incertec says the addition was made to expand and enhance its existing pre-treatment, heat treatment, conversion, plating and anodizing services.
“By adding the services of Synergy Metal Finishing, Incertec will add additional anodizing colors, zinc plating, chrome plating, and dry film lube, paint, and DuPont PTFE coatings,” the company says.
In January, Incertec acquired Circle City Heat Treating in Indianapolis.
Synergy Metal Finishing is Nadcap accredited and has served the military, aerospace, aviation, medical, and commercial industries since 1993. They perform a variety of supporting services, including precision masking, multiple surface finishes, bead blasting, polishing, heat treating (hydrogen embrittlement relief), salt spray, adhesion, solderability, XRF, and other testing.
Incertec started as Spec Plating, a specialty plating company, metal finishing, and engineering solutions company founded in Fridley, Minnesota, in 1993. Its operation expanded in 2002 when it opened a Kansas facility. The company was renamed Incertec in April of 2011.
In the Minneapolis facility, Incertec serves the aerospace, defense, medical, and other major industries. They routinely operate gold plating, nickel plating, specialty composites plating (or metalizing), and various anodizing lines out of this location.
In late 2011, Incertec opened a new metal plating facility in Empalme, Mexico. The company says the location is poised to become a Tier I aerospace supplier.
