Italian-based DI-MA has opened a location in Florida to distribute its machinery for the handling and packaging of aluminum and anodized products.
Dima’s air-powered racking machines are used by many high-volume anodizing parts plants. The air-powered FasTrack is ideal for customers using racks to support the material during the anodizing process. The racking machines could support a rack with two or four rows depending on the parts designed to load.
The process starts by placing the rack on a special guide and pressing the dual safety button to let the cycle begin. Dedicated jaws are close to the desired position (adjustable), and in just one movement, all rack tension fingers rows are pressed, close, and ready to load it.
For safety reasons, if one or both of the dual safety buttons are released before the jaws have closed, the jaws stop and return to the initial position.
After the rack is in position and the “row fingers” is closed, the operator uses both hands to position the parts on the tension fingers in a faster and safer manner than before with the elimination of the repetitive action that causes missing concentration.
When the tension fingers row has been loaded with parts, the operator releases the jaws to the open position and, with a handle, rotates the rack to a new set of tension fingers row and repeats the loading procedure until all the rows of tension fingers are fully loaded
Another advantage of the machine is that, with the same above procedure, users can unload the finish material with a single movement of the jaws into special boxes placed in a drawer below the machine
