Chemeon Surface Technology: What's New for 2023

What we are working on for 2023:

Ted VentrescaTed VentrescaCHEMEON will continue developing new corrosion protection innovations and process solutions that are approved for MIL-DTL 81706B.

Our top new products/services for 2022 were:

The market acceptance and interest in CHEMEON’s patented enhanced Trivalent Chrome Pretreatment (eTCP) as a conversion coating and anodic seal. The suite of eTCP chemistries now includes eTCP Ready to Use (RTU), eTCP Powder, and touch-up field-use solutions like the eTCP Touch-Up Pen. CHEMEON eTCP is the answer to the industry and DoD’s need for a different approach to corrosion protection for 2XXX series aluminum. eTCP chemistry is the main ingredient of a proven process to consistently provide MIL-DTL corrosion resistance to light metals, specifically 2024 aluminum, while providing a distinct color for visual verification that parts are coated and protected. We are very proud of our initial eTCP studies that were in collaboration with the U.S. Navy. eTCP is the safe alternative to the carcinogen hexavalent chrome while giving the industry confidence in a trivalent chrome that consistently meets MIL-DTL on 2024 aluminum and other light metals.

What our customers are telling us about 2023:

Even with the economic uncertainty due to inflation, supply chain shortages, and a potential recession, our OEM, Prime, DoD, and international aerospace partners foresee a strong year for manufacturing and parts processing. CHEMEON being the only HUBZone certified manufacturer and Tier 1 supplier of MIL-DTL 81706B and MIL-DTL 5541F chemistry, also provides our partners, who are working with or bidding on federal contracts, the ability to team with CHEMEON as their end to end provider of anodizing chemistries, dyes, conversion coating solutions. Training and consulting services. Another differentiator that we provide is technical support and access to some of the world’s foremost authorities on MIL-SPEC corrosion protection.
