Haviland Enterprises, Inc. a globally recognized manufacturer and distributor of specialty and commodity chemistry, announced the launch of its new laboratory on Ann St. in Grand Rapids in partnership with Erhardt Construction and Progressive A&E.
The 11,000-square-foot facility will provide the space required to advance product development and pilot new formulations within Haviland’s core markets. The company is pursuing growth in the water treatment market as water conservation efforts expand nationally.
“Our new lab is not only an investment in Haviland’s technical capabilities, it also offers new value to our customers, opening the door for further innovation in our target markets of water treatment, surface finishing, and contract manufacturing,” says Rob Pawson, Vice President of Haviland Products Company.
Haviland, 100% employee-owned and operated, celebrates 90 years of business this June. The ESOP company is dedicated to strategically investing in its people, processes, and facilities, focusing on operational excellence and fostering a culture of employee engagement.

The $7 million facility is set to be complete and in full operation in 2025.
