Trimac Industrial Systems, a manufacturer of infrared system technology and convection, gas catalytic and electric infrared products, has launched a new website for their Protherm electric infrared heaters, ovens, controls and equipment.

prothermhomepageThe new website is at www.pro-therm.com. Protherm is a subsidiary of the Trimac family of brands and is celebrating 40 years of manufacturing electrical infrared-engineered products for numerous applications.

Based in Kansas, Trimac Industrial Systems has more than 30 years of history in solving industrial heating and cleaning problems. Originally founded as Infra-Red Technologies (IRT) in 1987, the company introduced gas catalytic infrared by introducing the first infrared powder coating cure oven. IRT marketed its catalytic heaters under the brand name Gas-Cat. Over the next several decades, infrared ovens have been installed worldwide to cure products as delicate as the end of a fish hook to as large as a railroad car. Today, it is estimated that over 30,000 Gas-Cat heater units have been shipped.

Process Thermal Dynamics Inc., tradename Protherm, was started in 1985 in St Paul, MN. The small business was focused on being a high-quality, reputable, reasonably priced infrared heater supplier. In 1991, the company relocated to Alexandria, MN, and added in-house design and manufacturing of custom controls, frameworks, and complete oven systems. With steady growth, a new facility with an office and manufacturing plant was built in 1996 at the current Brandon, MN, location.

In 2016, the company was purchased, and the name was officially changed to Protherm.
