Wagner launched the next generation of its manual powder coating unit.
Sprint 2 combines proven elements from the previous product family with new features that elevate productivity and make it more user-friendly.
The Sprint 2 has a new Wacon (Wagner Control) Digital Surface Optimizer (DSO) function that reduces the effects of overcharging, such as orange peel and excessive edge build-up. This offers a significant advantage when coating complex workpieces and applying powder susceptible to overcharging. The control panel features an intuitive layout that makes dialing in the right setting easy. Wagner’s patented Air Flow Control (AFC) technology constantly measures and regulates air volume, creating extremely uniform powder output that results in exceptional coating quality.
“The Sprint 2 takes manual powder coating to the next level,” says Jim Jacquemard, vice president of Wagner Industrial Solutions. “The new DSO function combined with Air Flow Control are key features that increase productivity and finish quality.”
Time-Saving Features and Functionality
The Sprint 2 pump is engineered to make color changes fast and easy. The Quick-Link injector easily detaches from the air and powder hoses with no tools, making venturi nozzle clean-out and color changes much faster. The swivel arm’s integrated scraper ring wipes powder from the suction tube, speeding up the cleaning and color change process.
In addition, the Quick-Link injector and suction tube are screwed together to reduce the number of parts that need to be cleaned separately.
PEM-X1: A Proven Gun With Exceptional Performance
The PEM-X1 gun is designed to deliver premium coating results. Operators can choose between three coating characteristic curves, each allowing for the optimal charging of various types of powder. The gun is extremely durable and lightweight, making it easier to handle all day. Integrated buttons on the back of the gun allow for quick powder output adjustment, and the double-click trigger function toggles between recipes, making it ideal for spraying parts of varying shapes and sizes.
The Sprint 2 is available in two versions – box feeding or feeding from a 60-liter hopper. It is possible to convert from one version to the other. The Sprint 2-cup gun (CG) kit is designed to spray small quantities of powder and parts, ideal for frequent and fast color changes. The Sprint 2 can also be set up with a 3-liter hopper and vibratory table. The unit has a Hi-Coat Quick-Link injector and a 9mm powder hose.
Many accessories are available for the Sprint 2, allowing the operator to easily adapt to any coating project. These include nozzles, extensions, and injectors. The manual unit can also be expanded into a double gun setup by adding a separate swivel arm, injector, gun, and controller.
The Wagner Sprint 2 is available at professional paint and equipment retailers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. MSRP for the box feeding version is U.S. $6,599, and MSRP for the hopper feeding version is U.S. $6,099. Learn more about the new Sprint 2 at www.wagnerindustrialsolutions.com/wis_sprint2
