Chemeon and Miles Chemical Collaborate on DX-38 L

Chemeon Surface Technology and Miles Chemical are collaborating on a new industrial cleaning and coating solution.

The Miles Chemical proprietary deoxidizer DX-38 L has undergone extensive testing with Chemeon’s product, eTCP, at Chemeon’s lab in Nevada. Chemeon’s eTCP, the patented coating designed to replace the known carcinogen CrVI, also known as hex chrome. Finding a reliable solution has been crucial for the industry.

The development of eTCP shows how innovation can balance environmental needs with performance demands.eTCP is applied at room temperature and has a patented colorization feature, so you can see that parts are coated and protected. It makes quality control much simpler. e-TCP Superior corrosion protection, better adhesion, and improved safety for the workers handling it.

The DX-38 L deoxidizer from Miles Chemical prepares the metal and removes oxides, getting it ready for eTCP. When you use DX-38 L according to its instructions, its technical data sheet, or TDS, at room temperature, around 72 Fahrenheit, the final conversion coating meets both MILL-DTL-5541F and MILL-DTL-81706 B.

DX 38 L and eTCP are being implemented in facilities as Chemeon and Miles work with OEMs to help facilitate adopting DX 38L and eTCP, either as a direct replacement for hex chrome processes or maybe to get specification deviations approved if needed.
