PoliPower’s Marathon 12 Product Line

Acme Manufacturing Acquires PoliPower’s Marathon 12 Product Line

Acme Manufacturing, a manufacturer of automated material removal and robotic finishing systems, acquired PoliPower’s liquid compound application product line.

Founded by Helmut Kretschmer, PoliPower brings decades of application-driven expertise in compound dosing, with roots dating back to the mid-1980’s. Since introducing its proprietary product line under the PoliPower name in 1998, the company has built a strong reputation for precision metering, durable design, and reliable performance in demanding production environments.

The acquisition aligns closely with Acme Manufacturing’s focus of automated finishing systems. By bringing PoliPower into the Acme portfolio, Acme is able to provide continued support to current PoliPower users, strengthening its ability to deliver complete solutions that combine robotic system integration, tooling, liquid compound application, and process optimization.

“PoliPower has a long history of solving real-world finishing challenges through robust engineering,” says G.A. “Fritz” Carlson III, President and CEO of Acme Manufacturing. “Their compound application technology has been a part of Acme’s robotic buffing systems since 2008, and this acquisition allows us to better support customers globally who require compound guns for buffing.”

As part of the acquisition, Acme Manufacturing will streamline the PoliPower product offering with a strategic focus on the Marathon 12, high-pressure liquid compound gun. A proven platform designed for precise liquid compound application in automated and high-throughput buffing environments.

“By concentrating on the Marathon 12, we can provide a clearer product roadmap with enhanced technical support with our robotic systems,” Carlson added. “Our goal is to make compound application a predictable, controllable part of the finishing process, not a variable.”

Customers can expect continuity in product quality and application expertise, supported by Acme Manufacturing’s expanded service infrastructure. With an established aftermarket support team, Acme will provide global technical assistance, spare parts availability, and long-term service for Marathon 12 products.

“This acquisition is ultimately about being able to provide world-class support to our customers,” said Carlson. “With Acme’s global reach and PoliPower’s proven technology, we are well-positioned to help manufacturers improve their buffing operations.”
