Coventya Introduces TriStar 330 AF Process

COVENTYA has introduced the TRISTAR 330 AF Process, their newest addition to their line of TRISTAR Trivalent Decorative Chrome Technologies.

TRISTAR 330 AF Process is the next generation sulfate-based chromium decorative plating process developed by COVENTYA.  The process offers outstanding performance over the present state-of-the-art technology while providing an aesthetical color similar to hexavalent chrome deposits. With an “L” value over “83” and “b” value close to “0”, the resulting deposit optical aspect color is very close to hexavalent chrome deposits.

coventyaThe process components are designed to be effective over a broad range of concentration ranges compared to most competitive processes. The high performance is additionally characterized by a high rate of deposition resulting in the required deposit thickness of 0.2 - 0.4 µm in 4 - 5 minutes at cathode current density range 80 – 100 A/ft2.

The resulting deposit corrosion resistance satisfies the most demanding specifications for CASS and Neutral Salt Spray tests in combination with their TRISTAR SHIELD Cr VI free post-treatment process, both for steel and on plastic parts including sanitary-plumbing fitting components.
