The Surface Finishers Educational Association is hosting its monthly meeting on January 11, featuring a talk on removing PFAS from finishing operations.

Frank DeSilva from ResinTech will present “Removing PFAS from Rinse Water and Waste Water” on January 11 at 10:00 a.m. PST and 1:00 p.m. EST.

DeSilva is a “semi-retired” employee of ResinTech Inc., a supplier of ion exchange resins to the O.E.M. market in the United States. He has been with ResinTech for more than 34 years. Before that, he was employed by Belco Pollution Control, a division of Foster Wheeler, as the Process Department manager. DeSilva has authored numerous articles on ion exchange and related topics. He has been in the water treatment industry for over 40 years. He is President of the Pacific Water Quality Association and was the Director of the Liberty Bell Corrosion Course in the 1990’s. DeSilva currently serves on the AWWA Ion Exchange Standards Committee, the Legislative and Regulatory Committee of the Association of Water Technologies, and as the former chair of the Federal Governmental Relations Committee of the Water Quality Association. DeSilva was recently named the 2023 Water Quality Products Industry Icon.
