Greensboro Industrial Platers in North Carolina has acquired United Metal Finishing, also located in Greensboro.
Alex Budd, owner of Greensboro Industrial Platers, says the “strategic move unites two esteemed companies under the Greensboro Industrial Platers name, enhancing our capabilities and reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality services.”
Budd will continue to lead both companies as president.
“This acquisition represents a significant milestone for our company,” he says. “By integrating United Metal Finishing’s expertise with our own, we are poised to offer an even broader range of metal finishing solutions to our clients.”
Budd says Greensboro Industrial Platers plans to expand its certifications, approvals, and service offerings to allow the company to meet the evolving needs of its clients.

The new location, United Metal Finishing, is on Blue Bell Road and has operated since 1985. It offers aluminum anodizing and chemical conversion, passivation, rack and barrel zinc, electroless nickel, hard chrome, bright nickel, phosphating, surface blasting, sanding, and polishing.
The United Metal Finishing has 22 employees working in a 25,000-square-foot space.
