TechTalk: Danilo Bittar, Fischer Technology, on XAN Liquid Analyzer

Danilo Bittar, Regional Director of Americas for Fischer Technology, discusses the Fischerscope XAN Liquid Analyzer, an efficient inline solution analysis for electroplating baths.

Bittgar says it is a robust inline XRF instrument for fully automated analysis of the metal concentration of up to four electroplating baths. The Fischerscope XAN Liquid Analyzer is based on the X-ray fluorescence method (XRF) and enables fully automated and continuous analysis of the metal concentration of your electroplating baths. The unique measuring cell developed in-house, in combination with our powerful XRF software WinFTM, ensures the best measuring performance and efficient control of your plating system.

The unit is installed at KC Jones Plating Company, where they can now control four processes individually and have real-time bath composition data in order make quick decisions. Bittar says this will allow them to optimize their lines by refilling their tanks based on true Zn and Ni composition consumption, calculate in real time their plating costs by having a liner consumption per line, and ultimately improve efficiency and increase throughput on their plating lines.
