Don Post, Terry Vollmer, Joe Samsell, and the entire staff at ECF worked closely with the MEIS DecoKlad team to achieve this distinction. ECF is the third applicator in North America to be accepted into the DecoKlad program, and the first plating-on-plastic (POP) finisher in the Americas to earn this recognition.

MacDermid Enthone’s DecoKlad quality program and chemistry combine with ECF’s fully automated systems to ensure process repeatability, traceability, and accountability. Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers now have the one attribute they all seek: performance-based consistency. DecoKlad ensures global consistency at the regional level meeting OEM requirements with world-class applicators like Electro Chemical Finishing.

Electro Chemical Finishing is an industry leader in the application of decorative surface finishes. The company was founded in 1977 and is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. ECF has a variety of process offerings, including electroplating, trivalent chrome, and PVD coating; for both plastic and metal substrates, as well as mechanical highlighting, vibratory finishing, powder coating, and lacquer technologies.

“Electro Chemical Finishing proves that “Quality is More than Decorative” by consistently providing and pioneering advanced finishes with excellent performance and exceptional beauty,” says Chrissy Pullara, Decorative Business Development and Product Manager for the Americas for MacDermid Enthone.

“ECF’s recent approval into the DecoKlad program exemplifies their commitment to providing remarkable quality to the surface finishing supply chain,” she says.
