The New England Chapter of the NASF is holding a virtual seminar on March 2 that will feature speakers on RCRA, hazmat, wastewater and cyber security.
The event is 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. The cost for members is $50 per person, and for non-members it is $100 per person.
The chapter has applied for four Wastewater Treatment Contact Hours (TCHs) for this seminar. There is also IWTF continuing education opportunity for the benefit of our membership.
The speakers include:
- Jeff Mosholder of New Path LLC – Lead Presenter: Requirements designed to meet RCRA Reg 40CFR 265.16 annual hazardous waste handling and safety training requirements. RCRA is the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the public law that creates the framework for the proper management of hazardous and non-hazardous solid waste. The law describes the waste management program mandated by Congress that gave EPA authority to develop the RCRA program.
- Tad Goetcheus of HRP Associates: Update on latest wastewater treatment regulations with focus on environmental audit findings and misses during inspections.
- Levi McGuire of PAVCO Inc: Zinc-Nickel finishes are being considered a future alternative to cadmium plating. Levi will discuss not only the advantages of alkaline vs. acid formulations of this finish, but also the adverse effect your choice could have on achieving wastewater treatment discharge permit compliance.
- Paul LaFlamme of Centrend: Range of Cyber Security topics, including NIST 800-171 / CMMC. With today’s sophisticated wastewater treatment facility operating systems, cyber criminals could cause an environmental disaster by targeting your IWTF system.
