JMD Industries, a family-owned metal finishing company since 1977, has acquired Patriot Coating, based in Hudson, Massachusetts, a provider of industrial spray painting, powder coating, and screen printing services.

Together, the combined companies will employ nearly 200 team members and operate close to 100,000 square feet of modern, high-capacity production space.

DeDeus says that by uniting Patriot Coating’s strengths in wet paint, powder coating, and screen printing with JMD’s portfolio, which includes anodizing, electroless nickel, zinc plating, chromating, tin plating, passivation, laser marking, assembly, and custom packaging, customers have access to an “unmatched one-stop metal finishing resource” backed by world-class quality systems.
Founded over 40 years ago, JMD Industries specializes in anodizing, electroplating, other electrochemical finishes on a variety of metals.Roy Rector, President of Patriot Coating, will remain with the company in a temporary leadership role to oversee the integration. Following the successful transition, Rector will continue to serve as a valued consultant to both JMD Industries and the Patriot Coating operation, providing extensive expertise and customer insight on an ongoing basis.
