large crowd of peopleCCAI’s FINISHING Pavilion and Conference joined FABTECH over a decade ago to showcase great innovations and provide critical information on aspects of industrial surface finishing to the manufacturing industry.  The convenient venue offers everything needed to explore, educate, and expand your metal finishing business.  Exhibitors are anxious to welcome attendees and speakers look forward to seeing peers in the seats at this in-person event.

The FABTECH team is working closely with McCormick Place, the City of Chicago and our vendor partners to welcome everyone back safely. Protocols are in place to ensure the health and safety of all attendees and exhibitors.  Information is ever-changing so we encourage you to check the FABTECH website frequently for the most recent updates and safety commitment. www.fabtechexpo.com/safetyfirst

Training and education have always been at the forefront of CCAI’s mission.  The conference program at FABTECH is the perfect platform for CCAI to showcase the expertise and knowledge of members and enlighten those who are new to the finishing industry or those who want to sharpen their skills and gain new insight. CCAI’s FINISHING conference track features 21 sessions, encompassing a wide range of technical presentations, from basic to advanced, addressing topics of interest for everyone involved in finishing technologies. man giving presentationNew this year, CCAI has added two outstanding workshops to the FINISHING conference program. The CCAI Industrial Finishing Safety Workshop, developed by CCAI members who are experts in safety for industrial finishing processes, features critical information to safely operate an industrial finishing line, focusing primarily on NFPA 33.  And for Spanish-speaking attendees, the Powder Coating 101 Workshop in Spanish provides intensive instruction on the basics of the powder coating technology and the processes involved.  This workshop will be conducted in Spanish.  Both workshops will be held over 1 ½ days and include workshop materials and lunch on the first day of the workshop.

FABTECH 2021 will mark the fourth edition of CCAI’s FAB to FINISH Production Experience. The program gives show attendees the opportunity to see a part produced from fabrication to finishing first-hand. Attendees witness a souvenir part being laser cut and bent then follow a production route to participating CCAI Corporate Member exhibitor booths in the FINISHING Pavilion where the part is cleaned, powder coated, and cured. This year’s program will feature a new process, selective plating.

As excitement builds for this year’s event, exhibitors, presenters and attendees alike are ready to make connections in person at FABTECH 2021. Be sure to join the finishing industry in Chicago, IL, from September 13-16 at McCormick Place. For show updates and FAQs visit www.fabtechexpo.com.
