DEWALT adds a range of new outdoor power tools to its lineup in preparation for spring landscaping, lawn and home maintenance season.
The new outdoor equipment includes the 60V MAX* DEWALT Universal Attachment Capable System inclusive of a String Trimmer Kit (DCST972B) and Edger Kit (DCED472B), a 20V MAX* 550 PSI** Power Cleaner (DCPW550B) as well as a 2400 PSI** Electric Cold Water Pressure Washer (DWPW2400) and corded 18-In. Chainsaw (DWCS600).
The 60V MAX* DEWALT Universal Attachment Capable System is available as a String Trimmer Kit and an Edger Kit that convert to other DEWALT outdoor tools by changing the DEWALT universal attachments (sold separately). The base unit in the trimmer and edger kit can be quickly converted to a:
- Brush cutter with an 8-In. cutting swath (DWOAS5BC)
- Pole saw housing an auto-oiling 8-In. bar and chain (DWOAS6PS)
- 22-In. dual action blade hedge trimmer with a 135 degree articulating head (DWOAS8HT)
- High-performance axial blower (DWOAS7BL)
The 60V MAX* String Trimmer can also be converted to an edger through the attachment that features a 7.5-In. steel blade, maneuverable wheel, and angled head (DWOAS4ED); the same features are offered in the 60V MAX* Universal Attachment Capable Edger.
The 60V MAX* Attachment Capable String Trimmer is designed with a 15-In./17-In. swath with .080-In/.095-In. line, as well as a QuickLoad™ Spool Head for easy line loading without removing the spool cap. Both the String Trimmer and Edger are kitted with a DEWALT FLEXVOLT® 9.0 Ah*** Battery and house a high-efficiency brushless motor for extended motor life. The String Trimmer delivers up to 47 Minutes of no-load runtime per charge.† These tools will also be available as bare tools (battery and charger sold separately). The 20V MAX* 550 PSI Power Cleaner joins the 200+ products in the DEWALT 20V MAX* System and delivers 10X the pressure of a garden hose.β For added versatility, the Power Cleaner can connect directly to a garden hose or draw from a fresh water source with the suction hose (included). Four quick connect nozzles (included) offer various degrees of spraying including turbo spraying, and additionally, the unit is equipped with a soap bottle making it ideal for a range of cleaning applications. The Power Cleaner includes two spray power settings controlled by a Hi/Lo power switch and is available bare (battery and charger sold separately) or kitted with a DEWALT 20V MAX* 5.0 Ah Battery.
For more heavy-duty applications, the Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA) certified Electric Cold Water Pressure Washer (DWPW2400) powers through a variety of cleaning tasks with 2400 MAX PSI** and 1.1 GPM∆. The pressure washer features a 25-Ft. kink-resistant hose for heavy-duty usage and is built for rugged terrain transport with premium 10-In. pneumatic wheels that help maneuver over large or rough objects around the jobsite. Additionally, the integrated removable soap tank allows users to clean surfaces with detergent.
DEWALT is also releasing a new corded 18-In. AC 15A Chainsaw with a low kick back bar and chain. The chainsaw offers a maximum of 4.0 Horsepower, as well as a 15A motor for fast and powerful cuts that can tackle heavy-duty jobs. Automatic oiling keeps the chain lubricated without the need to continuously apply oil manually, while a convenient oil window monitors the oil level. The chainsaw also features metal bucking strips contributing to leverage for easy, controlled cutting.
