MicroKoat from LeKem is an electroless nickel chemistry with an antimicrobial preservative to inhibit the growth of odor-causing and spoilage organisms, including bacteria, fungi and mildew on the treated surface.
The company says MicroKoat has been tested in a high-end production plating line for over a two-year period with good outcomes throughout the life of the product, up to eight metal turns.
The product is RoHs compliant, silver-free and can be used for everyday production. The company says MicroKoat passes ASTM G21 and has impressive reduction rates in compliance with JIS Z 2801.
